Christmas 2010

We gave these headlamps to our chillins so they could read in the van...BUT, they came up with a more exciting use...having Nerf Gun Wars in the dark;-)!

Sharing the annual fun of making "Christmas Mice" with their beloved

cousins.

Every year the chillins put their jammies on, hop in the van & we drive

around looking at Christmas lights sipping Spiced Tea & snacking on

Christmas treats.

Troy & Max at the sledding hill.

Christmas was filled with love & family togetherness...we loved every minute & never wanted it to end! The whole season is always filled with traditions we've started with our chillins...putting up the tree & decorating the house the day after Thanksgiving, baking every day from Dec. 1-23rd & then making platters for friends & neighbors, crafts & then on Christmas Eve we had a fondue supper, went to a movie, went sledding/ snowboarding/ ice skating, opened stockings & played games. Christmas Day was filled with more outdoor sports(including Ultimate Frisbee in the knee-deep snow!) & lots of board games & cards & a movie & food:-)! We all said it was the best Christmas ever...we may say that every year, but that's good, right;-)!?!

Thankful for Family 2010

GAMES!

The men playing nice...

The White Elephant game is a bit much for my hubby;-)

Joe trading his goods at Leah's bidding...(notice Jax in his diaper & probably wondering what's wrong with all of these crazy Aunts & Uncles & Grandparents...he just kept going up to each one of us & laughing...it was precious!)

Aaron trading with Troy(not to worry, Troy got his vest/treestand back;-))

Mom checking out her loot...

Troy managed to get this hunting vest & a treestand courtesy of Willie at the end of the game...he was THRILLED!

Snuggly cousins...Faith & Alexa...

1 Chronicles 29:13
"Now therefore, our God, we thank you and praise your glorious name."

This year, Thanksgiving was hosted by us in our home. Preparations began a couple of weeks beforehand with our chillins making crafts, helping to plan the menu, shopping for ingredients & then each person makes a pie of their choice the day before Thanksgiving. We loved having my entire family over...it's hard to believe all 5 of us girls are now married & there are 11 grandchillins with 2 more on the way! Here are some random pics our chillins took...we were way too busy & I never once thought of taking pictures & later wished we could have gotten one of us sisters & my parents & one of all of the cousins. We did a White Elephant Gift Exchange & it was so much fun and so stressful & so loud...and very entertaining for all of our chillins! The time together was short but sweet.

Mighty Hunters

This year's deer hunting was extra meaningful for our family...it was Coletyn's first year in a treestand on his own! It was very hard for this Mama to not worry...I worry even when Troy is out & spend a lot of time praying for everyone's safety & it isn't any easier when your child is out there on his own. The Lord kept everyone safe & everyone had a wonderful time! Troy shot a buck his first day out & Coletyn shot a buck(bigger than Daddy's;-)) the second day all on his own...Troy didn't even see the deer. Coletyn called me just seconds after he shot it & was so excited that I at first thought something was wrong! We are SO proud of him! Here are a couple of pics of my handsome men.

Girl's Weekend!

After many years of trying to get away for a Girl's Weekend to the North Shore with just Mom & us Girls...we did it! One of us girls has always been pregnant or nursing a baby...& we snuck this weekend in before Rebecca has her little babes in Feb. & Christina in June. Sadly, I have hardly any pics. Mom is behind the camera in this pic. & Leah was unable to join us...we missed you, Lou!
