Over the River & Across the Prairie to Grandmother's House We Go!

Last week we were blessed to be able to go "home" for a very quick, unexpected trip to my parent's home! We packed in so much in a day & a half...Juggling, playing lots & lots of games, Looking for 'Ted's Toothpick' in Country Magazines, looking at family pictures on Grandma's computer, watching a movie with Grandpa on his big screen(better than going to the theatre:-)), playing our chillin's favorite form of tag..."Ball Tag"...at the Airport Park & Lindenwood Park in Fargo, a wonderful visit to see my sister Angie & niece Alexa & their new beautiful home & one last visit to a dear family friend before he passed away shortly after we left. Thank you so much Mom & Dad for a wonderful visit packed full of new memories! We all missed you the second we left!

A Celebration of a Step Towards Growing Up

Coletyn is officially a legal hunter!!! He received his certificate from Hunter's Safety last night, along with his good friend Lucas. We are so proud of them!
A Story With a Bit of Irony:
Last Saturday Coletyn took his Field Day Test & that evening after he went to bed, we received a call from one of our neighbors explaining they had just hit a small deer. So, Troy got Coletyn out of bed & they went to where the deer had been hit and Coletyn was able to help gut his first deer & they brought it home & cut it up & brought it to a local meat locker to be made into sausage. So, even though Coletyn didn't "hunt" the deer, it was funny that the day he passed his field test he was able to gut & cut up a deer;-)!
